Lisa Lévesque est originaire d’Edmundston, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Son amour du dessin, qui remonte à son enfance, l'a amenée à effectuer un baccalauréat en arts plastiques de l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Par la suite, elle a appris les rudiments de l’illustration électronique. Après avoir illustré la série Modo, c'est avec plaisir qu'elle a illustré Le grand ménage d'Alice l'écrevisse pour Bouton d'or Acadie où elle est conceptrice graphique depuis 2004. Elle demeure à Dieppe avec son époux et leur fille qu’elle adore.

Lisa Lévesque is from Edmundston, New Brunswick. Her love of drawing, which originated from her children, led her to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM). Afterwards, she learned the basics of electronic illustration. After illustrating the Modo series, she happily illustrated Le Grand ménage d’Alice l’écrevisse (Alice the Crayfish’s Spring Cleaning) for Bouton d’or Acadie, where she has been a graphic designer since 2004. She lives in Dieppe with her husband and their daughter, whom she adores.

Judith Hamel a réalisé des études de maîtrise en langue et littérature françaises à l’Université de Moncton. Après avoir signé un recueil de poésie, elle s’est tournée vers la littérature jeunesse et a publié son premier texte pour enfants, Modo et la lune, en 1996. En plus de compléter la série des cinq albums Modo, Judith a fait paraître 4 autres titres chez Bouton d’or Acadie. Cette femme de tête et de cœur est décédée le 21 août 2005, victime d’un cancer. Heureusement, son oeuvre littéraire vivra pour le plus grand bonheur des enfants et de nous tous.

Judith Hamel completed her Master of French Language and Literature at the University of Moncton. After writing a collection of poetry, she turned to youth literature and published her first children’s book, Modo et la lune (Modo and the Moon), in 1996. In addition to the five-book Modo series, Judith published four other titles at Bouton d’or Acadie. This woman of spirit and heart passed away due to cancer on August 21st, 2005. Thankfully, her literary work will live on, to the delight of children and all of us.
