Gilles Cormier

Né à Robertville, au Nouveau-Brunswick, Gilles Cormier vit présentement à Dalhousie. Il dessine depuis sa tendre enfance. Artiste dans l’âme, il touche à la peinture à l’huile, à l’aquarelle, à la sculpture et aux décors de théâtre. Ses oeuvres se carcactérisent par la douceur. C’est avec beaucoup de bonheur qu’il illustre les albums d’autant plus que les textes sont écrits par sa conjointe.
Gilles Cormier was born in Robertville, New Brunswick and currently lives in Dalhousie. He has been drawing since childhood. An artist at heart, he dabbles in oil painting, watercolour, sculpture, and theatre sets. Softness is what characterises his work. Illustrating picture books brings him much joy, especially when the texts are written by his partner.
